- Our Dakota rep was just here and put the following new embroidery design disks in the spinner: Touch of Tuscany, Kiddie Rainforest, Nautical De-Lite, Awesome Owls, Jazzy Jeans #2, and Sweet Songbirds. The following embroidery design disks have been discounted for discontinuation: Dogs, Paint the Town Red, Halloween, Garden Whimsy #2, Smirk, and Gooseberry Patch seasons. Get them while they last!

- We will be adding 2 new Janome sewing machines to our table this week - the Memory Craft 5200 and the DC 4030. These machines will take the place of our old favorite the MC 6260, which was discontinued, in the mid price range. If you have been looking for something sturdier or with more stitches than the Magnolia, but lighter and less expensive than the MC 6600, stop in and check them out.
Expanded Clearance Section
As we recently did inventory, we pulled out over 100 bolts of fabric and numerous notions to add to our 40% off section. These items will remain on clearance until they are gone and we will continue to add to them. This takes the place of our annual limited-time January clearance sale.
‘Make It You’
The Make It You program is being suspended at this time. We will re-evaluate the program over the summer and decide whether to start it up again in the fall. This is a program designed to help the younger generation to discover the fun, creativity, and endless potential of sewing and quilting. It’s open to young people ages 8 – 18, boys and girls. Our younger participants may require a parent’s or grandparent’s assistance for the first few times. There is a $20 one-time fee to join. If you have a youngster who is interested, please call the shop and leave your name and number. We will let you know when the program starts up again.
Knitting & Crochet Classes Now scheduled!
Karen Hedrick, our resident knitting and crochet expert, will be offering knitting for beginners in a workshop format starting in January. She will be teaching some basic stitches and you may work on a simple project (dish cloth or scarf). The sessions will be from 10 am - 12 pm on Saturdays, January 16th and 30th. You may attend one or both, and anyone who took the crochet class is welcome as well. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never knitted or just need a refresher. Cost will be $10 per session. Call or stop in for a list of needed supplies (not included).
Eat and Sew Nite
As many of you know, the group that started out doing Quilted Village over the past few years has formed a new group which meets on the 4th Monday of each month from 6 – 9 pm. Bring any project that you would like to work on and maybe a few bucks – we always order dinner! Everyone is welcome!
Custom Made T-shirt Quilts
T-shirt quilts use your old t-shirt fronts and backs to form the blocks and make a wonderful keepsake for a graduation, birthday, anniversary or wedding gift! Bring us your t-shirts, pick out a fabric color, and we’ll do the rest! Cost includes piecing, quilting and binding! Four sizes to choose from. Call for details!
Hush Little Baby
Hush Little Baby, which features gently used clothing, toys, furniture, and accessories for babies and toddlers and maternity clothes, occupies the other half of our building at 32 E. Main St. Summer things are starting to appear on the racks! Having company for a weekend? She also rents baby equipment like cribs and highchairs. Make your reservation now! The store hours are Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Anyone interested in selling their items or doing consignment should call Tassie directly at 419-217-0209.
