Click here to e-mail us and find out if a class is full.

Classes are filling fast, so make sure that you sign up soon!

Call 419-660-0200 to reserve your place in the class.

Class Registration Policy

v      Payment in full is required at the time of registration. This will guarantee your place in class.

v      Please be sure that you are available to attend the class for which you are registered as fees cannot be refunded or transferred to another class unless the class is cancelled by Sew Little Time. We require a minimum number of 4 people for a class to run.

v      Although we don't insist that you purchase all of your supplies from Sew Little Time, we appreciate your support. Sewing machines and kits are not included.

v      Please bring a Basic Sewing Kit to all classes. This includes: pins, needles, scissors, a seam ripper, pencil, paper, cotton thread, ruler, rotary cutter, cutting mat, sewing machine, etc., unless otherwise noted.

v      Please write down the dates and times of the classes for which you sign up. We try to give reminder calls when we can, but aren’t always able. We don't want you to miss out on your class!

CLASSES,CLASSES, CLASSES

The Great Pumpkin

Home of the Great Pumpkin Quilt

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! P.J. Shaw will be leading us through the pumpkin patch to make this adorable appliquéd quilt by Briar Rose Designs. Patterns are due in this week and there is a limited number of spots available, so call to reserve your spot ASAP! The class will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6 – 8 pm, beginning on November 8th.

Thimbleberries 2012

Sew Little Time will be offering the Thimbleberries 2012 Club ‘Pattern Party’! Instead of one really big quilt, next year’s project is broken down into a different project each quarter. The Pattern Party book contains all of the instructions for four small seasonal quilts, plus numerous bonus projects! We will be starting the club probably in February 2012. Keep your eye on the newsletter for more info to come.

New Buck-A-Block Series

Beginning in April, we started a “Buck-A-Block” quilt. Each month, we prepare a set number of block kits that will be available beginning on the 4th Saturday of the month. There is no need to sign up or attend a class. Just stop in, pay your dollar and pick up the fabric and pattern for your block. When they are gone, they are gone! Limit one per person. You may not pick up for another person. The colors for this project are black, white, and red. If there are block kits left from last month when it comes time to pick up the new block, you can buy additional blocks from the previous month(s) at that time. Many people have asked how many blocks there will be total. The answer is – I don’t know! We’ll keep it going as long as people are interested in doing it! This will be an ongoing project, so jump in at any time.

Free Block of the Month

This year’s Free Block of the Month will contain 9 (12") blocks. Participants in this block of the month program are able to earn instructions and fabric to make up to 8 quilt squares totally free. That is, provided that they have done their homework and show up to class! The initial block will cost $5. As long as you show up on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 with last month’s block completed, you will receive your next block kit for free. If you do not have your block completed or do not show up for class, you will be charged $5 for that month’s block, no exceptions. The next free block of the month quilt will begin in May. The color choices are ‘Civil War Reproductions’ and ‘All About Me’ (juvenile collection). NOTE: Each participant may do only one color way. Call ASAP to get your name on the list, as we had so many participants this past year that we had to turn people away. Please call and let us know which fabric choice you want prior to the first session on Thursday, May 5th.

The Generals’ Wives

Generals Wives

Last call for our new Block of the Month  – The Generals’ Wives! We are very excited about this new block of the month from Windham Fabrics! This Civil War era block of the month started October 1st and we will be holding class on the first Saturday of the month from 10 – 12 for anyone who wants to do their sewing at the shop. There is still space available, so call right away if you want to  join before you get behind.

Pricing for The Generals’ Wives will be as follows:  If you want to pay monthly, it will be $26 per month, with the first and last months’ payments due at the beginning. In other words, $52 the first month, and $26 for months 2 – 11. If you want to pay it all up front, you will receive a $50 discount and pay just $264!

Aunt Philly’s Toothbrush Rug RECTANGLE

People keep signing up, so we’ll keep teaching it! The "Toothbrush Rug" is made from torn strips of fabric and a modified toothbrush. These rugs are quick to make and require no sewing and have a fast tearing technique which shows you how to tear all your fabric in just minutes. This is a great way to use up old fabric (almost any kind) or to recycle! Go to www.AuntPhillys.com for more information and to see some of the available patterns. The next class, featuring the Rectangle Rug, will be on Saturday, January 14th from 10 am – 1 pm. The cost of the class will be $15. The pattern, needle, and fabric are not included.

Let’s Make A Gift!

Each month we offer a one-day class in which you can make a smaller item that would be perfect as a gift for someone on your list. The class will take place on the third Saturday of each month from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is appropriate for almost all ages and skill levels. There will be no charge for the class if you purchase the pattern and/or the fabric kit. If you already have the pattern and wish to bring your own fabric, you can pay just $5 for the class.

·       The next class will be on October 19th and the project for that day will be a Snap Bag!  (This class has been delayed twice due to illness and vacations, but we’re really gonna do it this time!)

·       The class on November 19th will be a longer class, as we will be making rag quilts. Plan on breaking for lunch.

Please call ahead and put your name on the list if you plan to attend so that we may have enough patterns and kits on hand for that month’s project.

Send Us Your Photos!

We just LOVE show and tell! Send us a photo of your finished project and we will post it on our website! It is really cool to see a finished rug, purse, quilt, etc. made from one of our patterns or in one of our classes. Seeing different color combinations or interpretations might just inspire somebody else to make one.

Gift Certificates Sew Little Time offers gift certificates in any denomination for that special quilter or embroiderer on your list. These are great for the holidays, birthdays, retirement gifts, or a special thank you.  We also have “Wish Lists” printed up, so don’t leave your family and friends guessing as to what you want! Stop in and make them a list so there won’t be any confusion as to what you mean by rotary cutter, fat quarters, or Thimbleberries book (there are at least a dozen)!
